Overview:
All Indian nationals holding a valid Indian passport can apply for Armenia Visa online. This type of visa is granted to those who plan to travel to Armenia for tourism, business, visiting relatives or family, medical treatment, short study courses, or to attend a sporting event or cultural conference. The e-Visa issued for Armenia permits a stay in the country of up to either 21 days or 120 days, depending on the requirements of the traveller. It may be issued as either a single or multiple entry online visas. The e-Visa for Indians may be obtained through the simple Armenia visa online application, which only takes a few minutes to complete and 3-4 days to process the application. - 1. Is there any visa-on-arrival facility for Indians travelling to Armenia?
As per the recent update rolled out on December 3, 2021, Visa-on-arrival facilities are currently suspended in Armenia keeping in mind the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the passengers (from non-high-risk countries) can still enter Armenia showing a negative RT PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival.
2. Is it easy to get an Armenian tourist visa from India?
Even though the online application process is quite easy, the final decision to grant or refuse a visa is the sole prerogative of the Government of Armenia.
3. Can the visitor visa be issued for business purposes?
Yes. The Armenia Visitor visa can be issued to those travelling for tourism, business, visiting relatives or family, medical treatment, short study courses, or attending a sporting event or cultural conference.
4. How long can I stay in Armenia with an e-Visa?
The Armenia e-visa may be issued with stay validity for either 21 days or 120 days, depending on the needs of the applicant.
5. Is it mandatory to visit the Armenia Embassy to get my visa?
No. There is no need to visit the Embassy as we will manage all your hassles. We will take care of everything, from verifying your documents to sending them to the Embassy to finally getting you the approval of your visa. 6. What happens if I stay over the stipulated time of my Armenia visa?
If you violate the immigration rules in Armenia by overstaying your visa, there are high chances that you may get detained and deported from the country. Additionally, a monetary fine and a ban from entering the country may get imposed.
7. How long will my Armenian visa take to process in India?
The e-Visas to the Indian nationals are issued within 3-4 working days from the date the application was submitted whereas the regular stamp visas are normally issued by the embassies within 10 days.
8. Is the Armenia e-Visa a single or a multiple entry visa?
The Armenia e-Visa may be issued as either a single or multiple entry tourist visa, depending on the needs of the traveller.
9. What are the COVID protocols for Indians travelling to Armenia?
Firstly, the passengers travelling to Armenia should have a certificate in Armenian, English, or Russian showing that they tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours before arrival in a PCR test. Alternatively, they may have a vaccination certificate showing that they were given the last dose of the vaccine at least 14 days before arriving in Armenia, however, they are subject to a PCR test upon arrival at their own expense and self-isolation until test results are ready. Children under 7 years and nationals and residents of Armenia are exempt from testing requirements.
10. I am an unvaccinated Indian traveller planning to visit Armenia this month. Will I be required to take a test before and after arrival?
Unvaccinated foreigners travelling to Armenia and residents of Armenia without a negative COVID-19 PCR test are subject to a PCR test upon arrival at their own expense and self-isolation. All the arriving passengers will mandatorily undergo a medical screening at the airport.
11. Are there any entry restrictions for Indian travellers to Armenia?
As per the recent government update, Armenia’s borders are open for travellers around the world except for South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Madagascar. However, it is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed so do carry a negative PCR test report taken within 72 hours of arrival along with your vaccination certificates.
12. What documents should I present upon arrival in Armenia?
Once you receive the approved e-Visa in your email inbox, it is advised to print a copy to present upon arrival at Armenian border control. Along with this, you will be required to show your original passport and boarding pass.
13. What to do if my Armenia visa is denied?
The rejection of the Armenia visa most likely happens because of the incorrect information entered on the online form or due to small errors that d not match the applicant’s other credentials. The applicant can, however, fill in a new application, ensuring that all the data is correctly entered before submitting the form.
14. My Indian passport expires soon. Will I have problems entering Armenia?
As long as you have a valid Indian passport, you shall be able to enter and exit the territory of Armenia. There is no such prerequisite needed that specifies a passport to be valid for an exact period of time. However, it is always better to keep a buffer of 3-6 months validity to avoid unnecessary/ extra questioning at the Immigrations.
15. Can I get my e-Visa extended while in Armenia?
Yes, it is definitely possible to extend an e-Visa in Armenia. You will have to visit the Passport and Visa Department of an Armenian Police Office and request for an extension giving a valid reason. An online visitor visa can be extended for a maximum of 60 days.
16. Do I also have to purchase travel insurance for travelling to Armenia?
Even though it is not a mandatory document to present to the embassy during your visa application, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that can help you cover your medical expenses (in case of emergency) during the trip that can be quite expensive otherwise.
