1. Do I need a COVID-19 test to travel to Egypt?
Yes. As a safety measure, overseas travellers to Egypt during the pandemic must present a printed negative PCR test report on arrival, issued no more than 72 hours before the flight to Egypt. The test must be based on a nasal or oral swab and the certificate should be issued by an approved laboratory. Certificates are only accepted if in Arabic or English. All the children under the age of 6 are exempted from this entry requirement.
2. What all vaccinations are accepted in Egypt?
Vaccines accepted include AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V. The certificate you present to the Embassy/ Immigration officer must be in Arabic, French or English.

10. Is there any lockdown in effect in Egypt?
No. Though the events are partially allowed, the shopping centres are open to public including bars and restaurants but are running with proper health measures in place and reduced capacity. There is no evening curfew in Egypt. Restaurants and cafes are still required to close by 10 pm.

12. If I have a new passport, do I need to apply for a new visa?
