Bishkek Kyrgyzstan - A Historical City to Explore
You might have heard of Kyrgyzstan and you might have heard of Bishkek. Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and has an amazing and distinct nature everyone should experience. A city that is fresh and new with few historical sites in place. No wonder youth find Bishkek a lively and pulsating place to be at. This Central Asian country is absolutely home like place because the people here are quite friendly and hospitable.
Bishkek was founded when the Uzbek khan of Kokand built a small clay fort by a settlement on a tributary of the Chuy River in 1825, to connect up several stop-off points on the Silk Road through the Tian Shah mountains. Today Bishkek is a very planned and modern city in Central Asia. Your travel in Bishkek should start from the mountains and alpine lakes of the Tien Shans. There are lot of parks, Soviet Era Statues and monuments. Some of the places that you should visit here are Ala-too square, National Historical Museum, Panvilov Park, Osh Bazaar and few more.
You can experience in Bishkek are swimming in Karven Club. You can make a trip to Green city spa and resort to enjoy local culture and traditions. You can trek or hike in the mountains around Bishkek. You can buy here Kyrgyz felt hat, traditional pattern carpets, clothing, electronics and what not? When you think about food in Bishkek it is mainly bread, rice and potatoes with some meat around.
