About India
India is a South Asian country. Talking about India
it is second largest in population and seventh largest by area in the
world. India is one of the largest democracies in the world. India is

Geography of India
India is 7th largest country in the world in terms
of area. India has both land and oceans on its borders. On the south,

by Arabian Sea. Bay of Bengal is on the Southeast side. Also India
shares borders with neighboring countries like Pakistan on the west,
China, Nepal and Bhutan on the Northeast, Bangladesh and Myanmar to the
east. Other neighbor countries of India are Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Himalaya in northern part of India has Mount Everest, the highest point
in the world. At present with 29 states and 7 union territories, Geography of India is quite big. New Delhi is the capital of India.
Climate and Weather in India
Indian climate cannot be generalized because of vastness of geography and varied topography. So, Indian climate
is of 6 major subtypes. In the west it is arid desert, in the north it
is alpine tundra and glaciers and, in the southwest and island
territories are humid tropical regions which support rainforest. Also
many other regions in India have microclimates. India has generally four
seasons. From December to February it is winter, From March to Mid-June
it is summer. From Mid-June to September it is rainy or monsoon and
October to November is Post-Monsoon season. In major parts of the
country except during hot summers (which is best time to visit hill
stations in Himalayas) rest of the time of year is best time to visit
the country.
History of India
History of India is really long. Indian History
has been a topic of interest to everyone including outside people. This
is because of the cultures and civilizations that existed in this part
