Three cultures meet – the Sami, the Swedish and the Finnish, all of which have had an important part in the development of the mining community of Kiruna. We begin the tour from a historical and holistic perspective, as far back in time as 400 million years ago when the American continent collided with the European continent. If the weather is clear we can see the mountain range that was formed in connection with the collision and gain an understanding of Kiruna as a city. The journey continues with a few more stops through Kiruna's old city center where the city transformation is in full swing.
